Vacheron Constantin

1940s Vacheron Constantin Calatrava Cal. 453 18K Rose Gold

1976 Vacheron Constantin Royal Chronometre (Ref. 2215) W/ Extract From The Archives

Vacheron Constantin has never contained itself to being a single type of watchmaker. Since their creation in 1755, the Swiss watchmaking house has set out to push the horological boundaries. The cal. 453 was a staple base caliber that powered a large number of interesting VC's through the 40s, 50s, and even into the 1960s due to its impressive reliability and timekeeping capabilities. The cal. 453 features the sweep-seconds hand at the 6 o'clock, which adds a charming representation of the watches era.
