1958 Rolex Oyster-Perpetual 14K YG (Ref. 6569) "OCC Dial"
While Rolex began using self-winding movements in the early 1930s, it wasn't until 1950 that it was given a proper name with the introduction of the Oyster-Perpetual. Many models in the Rolex catalog would go on to wear the names Oyster and/or Perpetual on their dials, including this gorgeous no-date model from 1958.
The tenured model has been a mainstay within the Rolex catalog since its introduction and remains as one of the most sought-after offerings. Vintage variants perfectly blend simplicity with sophistication and often feature unique details not seen in other models. Whether you're a seasoned collector or looking for your first entry point into vintage watches, the Rolex Oyster-Perpetual is always a worthy addition to any collection.
The ref. 6569 features a 14k gold 34mm case with an engine-turned bezel that adds a touch of texture and intrigue to its otherwise clean and classic aesthetic. The watch also features a beautifully speckled, "Officially Certified Chronometer" (OCC) dial, which is the precursor to the "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" (SCOC) dials we see today, making this a beautiful time capsule for the wrist.

CASE & BRACELET
The 14K yellow gold case remains in excellent overall condition with thick and symmetrical lugs that show minimal evidence of previous polishing and only subtle signs of use. The 14K yellow gold engine-turned bezel is in crisp condition and displays some oxidation commensurate with its age, but no notable wear or major signs of previous polishing. The case back is in clean overall condition with gentle and expected elements of previous wear. The watch comes supplied on a two-piece woven leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original "OCC" dial predates the more commonly seen "SCOC" dials of the 1960s and is in impressively well-preserved condition for its age. The silver dial features a delightful speckling throughout that is tasteful and enhances the vintage appearance and warmth of the watch overall. The golden hour markers are in remarkable condition, as are the service-replacement gold baton-style luminova hands.
