1969 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 1601) Grey Dial

This specific 1969 Datejust Ref. 1601 retains its original Grey "Pie Pan" stick marker dial and original white gold fluted bezel. This specific example just received a complete overhaul and is running flawlessly!

CASE & BRACELET

The excellent case retains strong and symmetrical lugs that show very little signs of use. The white gold fluted bezel is in excellent unpolished condition remaining sharp and showing almost no signs of use. The original caseback sticker is still attached to the case back and has faded from age. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The grey sunburst "pie-pan" dial with white markers is immaculate and has excellent visibility. The tritium lume plots have aged to a handsome golden-yellow coloration and under U.V. light inspection the lume plots show as full and round, without degradation. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and show no lume loss or degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The closed 6 and 9 date wheel is era correct for this watch. 

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch is keeping time and functioning perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
