2009 OMEGA Speedmaster Automatic (3211.50.00) W/ Box & Papers
The Omega Speedmaster is by far one of our most favorite chronographs. The Speedmaster has an incredible history starting with automotive racing moving into flight and eventually to NASA and the U.S. Space Program. There are many subtle differences within the Speedmaster range of references that make them all slightly unique and different.
The Speedmaster Automatic, also known as the "Speedmaster Reduced" for its smaller case size, debuted in 1991 to much applause. Finally bringing the Speedmaster into the modern age with an automatic movement, which also features a date function. This piece would be suited for casual and formal settings alike as it possesses the classic and timeless Omega Speedmaster look while housing an automatic movement!
|Bracelet||Omega 1564 / 975 Bracelet|
The "Reduced" brings down the usual 42 millimeters of the full-size Speedmaster to a svelte but robust 39 millimeters. It feels more round and curved than its bigger brother, giving it a special, unmatched wear, that seems to have been seldom enjoyed up to now as the watch is in remarkable condition. The Speedmaster features a screw-down case back and is worn on its original Omega signed stainless steel bracelet.
The semi-gloss black "gilt" dial is in flawless original condition, and the semi-gloss finish gives the watch a lovely heritage aesthetic. The hands, markers, and register rings are beautiful rose gold that plays fantastically with the bright steel case and black dial.
This Omega Speedmaster is accompanied by its original box and papers. The watch is keeping time and functioning at spec, previous service history is unknown.
