*Unpolished* 1985 Rolex Daytona (Ref. 6263) 18K YG
First introduced in 1963 the Rolex Daytona has always been in demand. Designed with professional racecar drivers in mind, the Daytona’s precision chronograph and tachymeter bezel allowed drivers to accurately measure speeds up to 400 kilometers or miles per hour. The release of the Daytona came just after Rolex had become the official timekeeper of the Daytona racetrack and the name evolved as a way for the brand to highlight their connection to the celebrated race.
Yellow gold Daytonas will always have a special place in the hearts of discerning collectors for their distinguished presence and overall very limited numbers. The Daytona 6263s and 6265s meet gold in perhaps the most suitable way. Being that the Daytona itself is such a sportsman's watch, meant to be able to put up with the brutal treatment of its wearers' lifestyle, but in gold, the Daytona becomes something entirely different. CASE & BRACELET
The wonderful unpolished 18k yellow gold case retains strong factory dimensions with light signs of use, showing desirable oxidation around the crown and pushers that can only be achieved from gold that has never been polished. The 18k yellow gold and acrylic bezel is in remarkable condition, displaying no delamination or excess wear from age. The 18k yellow gold Mk.3 screw-down pushers and Rolex trip-lock crown remain original to the watch. The 18k yellow gold Rolex rivet bracelet with 71 end pieces is in remarkable condition, showing minimal wear and no stretch.
DIAL & HANDS
The champagne sunburst chronograph dial is breathtaking and flawless, the dial itself shows no wear or imperfections. The black sub-dials remains clean and untouched. The tritium lume plots remain full and round, achieving a lovely creamy patina. Under U.V. light inspection, the 3 o'clock marker remains intact showing light degradation, the rest of the lume plots remain fully intact. The original gold tritium hands are in remarkable condition, matching the dial perfectly, and showing no degradation under U.V. light inspection.

None. The watch is functioning and keeping time perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
