Vintage Rolex DateJust Ad

Worn with ease in any setting, the Datejust is a classic for a reason. We love the early Rolex Datejust for its simplicity and understated sophistication and this example is no exception, featuring a flawless and rare lavender "pie-pan" dial. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as with jeans and a tee shirt.

CASE & BRACELET

The exceptional case appears to never have been polished, though it shows gentle "sleeve polishing" from wear. The thick and symmetrical lugs exhibit robust factory dimensions and crisp angles throughout, showing only light signs of use. The white gold fluted bezel is unpolished as well and is in excellent condition, exhibiting gentle signs of use. The unpolished case back shows subtle wear and retains its factory finish in crisp condition. The original Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces is stamped 2/70 and retains 22 links that show light stretch for the style of bracelet and will fit up to a 7 3/4-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The rare and exceptionally beautiful lavender "pie-pan" dial is in flawless condition, showing no elements of age or damage whatsoever. The tritium lume plots have achieved a charming creamy patina and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial and display no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The metallic date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.
