Tropical 1973 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 1601) Blue "Cloudy Day" Dial
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee shirt.
This Rolex ref. 1601 from 1973 features a tropical blue dial with a stunning patina that closely resembles a cloudy sky on a sunny day. A truly one-of-a-kind example that is sure to be a conversation starter. This Datejust would make a great start for a new vintage collector or be a great addition to an expanding collection. We love the early Rolex Datejust for its simplicity and its classic sophistication. Perfectly worn in any setting from formal to casual.
