1964 Seiko Mono-Pusher Chronograph (Ref. 5717-8990) Silver Dial

The Seiko Mono Pusher Chronograph is a special piece of the Seiko legacy. Designed alongside the Seiko World Time, both were created to celebrate and assist in the 1964 summer Olympics that would be hosted in Japan, also known as the 'Games of the XVIII Olympiad'. This specific chronograph hosts a 60-second timer and the pusher can be used to start, stop, and reset the chronograph feature. The ref. 5717-8990 also features a date wheel, which was not present in the first 45899 Mono Pusher model.

CASE & BRACELET

The wonderful angled lug case retains its original geometry and with gentle signs of use present. The bidirectional rotating bezel is in very clean and crisp condition, showing minimal wear with most of the factory black enamel still intact. The unsigned crown is original to the watch as is the single pump pusher. The case back retains the serial number in crisp condition, the case back seahorse design is also subtly present to the naked eye as well, though it is very common on this specific model for the factory markings to be faint from wear. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The original silver dial features a lovely vintage aesthetic and is in overall great vintage condition, showing light elements of age throughout and subtle darkening at the edges of the inner dial. The original non-luminous hands are in excellent condition.
