1958 Omega Seamaster Automatic (Ref. 2856-2857 5SC) Cal. 501 "Big Logo Case Back"
The world of vintage Omega Seamaster is vast and filled with interesting and unique models such as this ref. 2856-2857 5SC Omega Seamaster, which has so many charming elements to it that is hard to favor just one! The ref. 2846-2848 1SC is powered by the in-house Omega cal. 501 automatic winding movement, which is a workhorse, like many Omega movements out of this era. The large 36mm case also features broad lugs to give this watch an excellent wrist presence and the beautifully preserved silver dial creates an unmatched elegance to the watch.

CASE & BRACELET
The oversized-for-its-era case is exceptionally preserved and potentially unpolished as the original factory case finishing, dimensions, and bevel details remain fully present with no apparent signs of previous polishing. The case does exhibit gentle signs of use, but it is obvious this watch was in great care for generations. The case retains its original "flat foot" Omega signed crown. The watch retains its original hesalite Omega hallmarked crystal. The "big logo" case back is in excellent condition and retains its factory marking and finishing throughout the large Seamaster medallion. The watch comes supplied on a lightly worn, era-correct, and possibly original Omega 2pc brown alligator strap with the original Omega stainless steel tang buckle.
DIAL & HANDS
The original non-luminous silver dial is in genuinely impressive condition and remains virtually flawless, apart from some extremely subtle elements of age that are attractive and actually improve the overall vintage aesthetic of the watch. The original solid steel dauphine hands display gentle oxidation but are in excellent overall condition.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
