1960 Rolex Two-Tone Datejust (Ref. 1601)
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt. CASE & BRACELET
The thick Datejust case shows signs of a light previous polishing, retaining even lugs with little wear. The 14K yellow gold coin-edged bezel remains unpolished in stunning condition exhibiting little to no wear from use. The original Rolex two-tone rolled link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces is in good overall condition, showing normal stretch for this bracelets age and material.
DIAL & HANDS
The original champagne dial is in stunning vintage condition. The original radium lume plots have aged to a lovely golden coloration and show no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original radium gold dauphine hands match the dial perfectly, under U.V. light inspection the hour hand has lost most of its lume. The gold metallic date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.
