Girard Perregaux

1960s Girard Perregaux Alarm

It's no secret Girard Perregaux has a deep lineage within Swiss watchmaking history, unofficially forming at the end of the 17th century and formally being announced as Girard Perregaux & Cie in 1852, and during their time since have created some very worthwhile and interesting watches.

We love this uniquely designed alarm wristwatch from Girard Perregaux, instead of the alarm function being set via an additional hand or rotating disc in the center of the dial, the alarm function is housed in a beautifully constructed window that allows for a user-friendly setting function in a stylish fashion.

The sunburst brushed silver dial and alarm wheel are both in beautiful condition and reveal minimal signs of aging. The lume plots above the hour markers have aged into a dark gray patina and exhibit some signs of light degradation. The original hands are in excellent condition and have aged to the same coloration as the lume plots.
