The silver dial possesses the early somewhat rare Tudor "Small Rose" instead of the Tudor shield which started to appear around 1968-1969 which adds to the over all unique charm of this timepiece. The dial and reference is also somewhat transition noting the -Date- under oyster price which is not commonly found on other examples of this era. The stick markers give the dial an almost 3 dimensional look when viewed at an angle, and the baton hands compete the simple yet refined look at this Ref. 7965.
