1966 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 1601) Silver Dial

The excellent case retain impressive dimensions, boasting extremely thick and even lugs that retains factory finishing, honest signs of light use, and minimal signs of previous polishing. The white gold fluted bezel is in crisp overall condition, showing light signs of use and wear. The original Rolex 6251H rolled-link Jubilee bracelet with 55 end pieces dates to 1966 and retains 20 links that show expected stretch for the style and age of the bracelet and will fit up to a 7 1/2-inch wrist.

The original silver sunburst "pie-pan" dial delivers a beautiful vintage aesthetic while remaining in wonderful overall condition, showing no real damage and some subtle elements of age present around the edges of the dial and the markers. The tritium lume plots have achieved a handsome ivory color that also feature some darker spots, under U.V. light inspection the lume exhibits no notable degradation. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The metallic date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's.
