1969 Breitling Chronomatic (Ref. 2110)
The Breitling Chronomatic with a calibre 11 movement is argued to be the first, if not one of the first automatic chronograph movements ever produced. In the 1960s many major watch brands were competing to create the first automatic chronograph movement. Rivalries and tensions were high between Breitling, Seiko, Zenith, and Heuer. The Breitling race to the automatic chronograph is said to have been secretly named Project 99. Once the Chronomatic movement was created, Breitling housed many of their chronographs with this groundbreaking movement, including this superb Ref. 2110.

CASE & BRACELET
The strong case has been lightly polished in the past, retaining full and even lugs and its original pump pushers and signed crown. The acrylic crystal is in excellent condition and features an internal cyclops at the 6 o'clock marker. The exterior bi-directional bezel shows appropriate signs of use. The case back shows moderate signs of honest tool watch use and retains legible original factory engravings. The watch comes supplied on a 2-piece handmade leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The matte white panda dial, subdials, date window, and all logos and texts are in excellent condition. The tritium lume plots on the hour markers have aged to a handsome yellow patina and show no degradation under UV inspection. The cigarette hands match the dial perfectly, under U.V. light inspection the hands exhibit no degradation.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time and functioning perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
