1969 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 5513) "Serif Dial"

The Rolex Submariner reference 5513 is the embodiment of the classic dive watch. The 5513 is simple yet sophisticated and rugged. The ref. 5513 was first introduced in 1962 and ceased production in late 1989. The ref. 5513 is a purpose-built dive watch that lacks the date function like other Rolex Submariner models.

CASE & BRACELET

The exceptional case retains impressive dimensions and is extremely crisp, the case was recently polished to exhibit factory-like finishing throughout, with sharp chamfers and defined brushing. The original Mk III "fat font" bezel insert is in beautiful, near-perfect condition, showing no fading or notable signs of use and retains its tritium pearl which matches the dial beautifully. The case retains its original twin-lock 7mm crown. The Rolex 9315 folded-link Oyster bracelet with 380 end pieces is believed to be original to the watch and retains 11 links that show light stretch for the age of the bracelet and will fit up to a 7 1/4-inch wrist.

DIAL & HANDS

The matte black "serif" dial is simply gorgeous and in very well-preserved condition, showing no damage or notable elements of age. The tritium lume plots have taken on a desirable and even creamy patina and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. the original hands have bee professionally restored with tritium to match the dial. 

ACCESSORIES 

None. The watch is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
