1970 Heuer Carrera 30 (Ref. 7753 T) W/ Original Strap & Buckle
The Carrera was released the same year as the Daytona and chronographs share both the Singer made dials and the Valjoux72 movement. They are both named after races famous races too – the Carrera for the extremely dangerous Carrera Panamericana race through Mexico, but the Carrera has many features that set it apart from its contemporaries.
Heuer’s Carrera line was designed with legibility in mind. The goal was to create a chronograph that was sleek and uncluttered. Heuer had patented a new steel tension ring to hold the crystal in place. In order to keep the dial as clean as possible, this ring was painted to feature the 1/5 second demarcations. This along with the basic baton markers helped to create the simple, minimal look Heuer had in mind. The case, manufactured by Piquerez, features sharply beveled lugs that add to the overall streamlined look of the design.
The ref. 7753 T seen here was originally called the Carrera 30 because the minute register measures thirty-minute increments. The ref. 7753 and is the second version of the Carrera 30 produced by Heuer, remaining aesthetically almost the same as its predecessor but features the update Valjoux cal. 7733 movement.

CASE & BRACELET
The strong case has been lightly polished and retains excellent lugs that remain symmetrical with almost no signs of use. The case retains its original Heuer signed crown, the pump pushers are early replacements. The case back is in excellent condition showing minimal signs of use. The case numbers are visible between the lugs. The watch comes supplied on an original navy blue rally strap and original Heuer buckle.
DIAL & HANDS
The beautiful silver dial is in very well preserved condition, the sunburst inner dial is very clean showing a small mark between the 11 and 12 o'clock markers. The matte silver outer tachymeter track is in exceptional condition with no discoloration or signs of age. The tritium lume plots have aged to a charming creamy coloration, under U.V. light inspection the 9 and 3 o'clock lume plots exhibit degradation which is expected, the rest of the lume plots show no degradation. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly, retain the original black enamel, and display no degradation when inspected under U.V. light.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time and functioning perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
