1970 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 1601) Silver Dial

This Datejust ref. 1601 dates to 1970 retains its original silver "pie-pan" stick marker dial, original Oyster bracelet, and white gold fluted bezel all in excellent condition. |Rolex 7836 Oyster Bracelet W/ 258 End Pieces
The exceptional case retains very thick and symmetrical lugs that exhibit minimal signs of previous polishing, crisp finishing, and light signs of honest use. The white gold fluted bezel remains extremely crisp with minimal signs of prior use. The original Rolex 7835 folded-link Oyster bracelet with 258 end pieces is stamped 2/70 and retains 11 links that show minimal stretch and will fit up to a 6 3/4-inch wrist.
The original silver sunburst "pie-pan" dial is in remarkably well-preserved condition and features unique satin-brushed markers. The dial itself shows no damage and only nominal elements of age that are virtually invisible to the naked eye. The tritium lume plots have achieved a handsome creamy patina and exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly but feature some dark spots as well, under U.V. light inspected the hands don't display degradation. The metallic date wheel is original with "closed" 6's and 9's.
