1970s Ollech & Wajs Precision Chronographe "Landeron 248"

Ollech & Wajs began in 1956 in Zurich, Switzerland.  Founded by Albert Wajs, he decided to partner with Joseph Ollech. They opened a luxury watch shop and initially sold Omega and Breitling pieces before launching their own brand,  OWZ Ollech & Wajs Zürich. Soon after launching, they decided to specialize in the assembly of reliable and accurate tool watches with durable cases, and highly functional complications. The brand specialized in chronographs, military watches, tool watches, and even made a record-breaking dive watch during the diving craze, when many prominent watch companies were partaking in 'the race to the bottom' (of the ocean).

If you're looking for a functional, handsome, and well-built watch that lives under the radar and won't break the bank, this is an excellent choice.

The pushers and crown are believed to be original to the watch. The original factory engravings are present and legible on the caseback. The watch comes supplied on a two-piece handmade leather strap.

The black dial is in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of age. All markings and fonts on the dial and subdials are vibrant and legible. We especially love the contrasting fuchsia font on this dial! The tritium lume plots are in excellent condition and show no signs of degradation or age under U.V. light inspection. The tritium hands match the dial perfectly and are also in excellent shape.
