 Nasa Omega Speedmaster
(Alan Bean With An Omega Speedmaster Professional On Lunar Surface Of The Moon)

The Omega Speedmaster Professional is by far one of our most favorite chronographs. The Speedmaster has an incredible history starting with automotive racing moving into flight and eventually to NASA and the U.S. Space Program.  There are many subtle differences within the vintage Omega Speedmaster range of references that make them all slightly unique and different.

The ref. 145.022 with the workhorse Cal. 861 movement is clearly built to last. The Speedmaster looks great on the bracelet as well as a handcrafted leather strap. It is one of our favorite chronographs due to its timeless design and functionality. Its versatility to be paired with the most formal and the most casual of wardrobe also makes the Speedmaster a good choice for the first vintage timepiece and or a classic daily driver.

The asymmetrical twisted lug case is in strong condition, possibly only polished once in the past as its factory geometry remains very much intact and shows only light signs on honest use. The original tachymetre bezel is in wonderful condition, remaining deep black in coloration with only minimal signs of previous use. The case back is well preserved, retaining all of the factory markings in deep and crisp condition. The original Omega 1171 bracelet with 633 end pieces is excellent, retaining 21 links that show almost no stretch from use.

DIAL & HANDS

The matte black dial is in flawless original condition showing no imperfections or age. The sub-dials remain in perfect condition as well showing no age or damage. The tritium lume plots have taken on a light creamy green patina and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands have aged slightly more yellow than the dial, which is common in this era, under U.V. light inspection the hands show no degradation.

ACCESSORIES

The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time and functioning perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty.
