1979 Rolex Two-Tone Datejust (Ref. 16013) "Champagne Dial" W/ Rosy Patina On Bezel & Bracelet

The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt.

1984 Rolex Two-Tone Datejust (Ref. 16013) "Buckley Dial"

One of the largest evolutions for the Rolex Datejust model lineup was at the end of the 1970s with the introduction of the first "flat dial" Datejust. The white gold bezel was upgraded from 14k to 18k white gold and the movement was vastly upgraded to the Rolex cal. 3035 quick-set movement. These Datejust variations are often referred to as "transitional" as they still feature the more classic acrylic crystals and tritium lume whilst housing many advancements.

The excellent case has been lightly polished and retains strong and symmetrical lugs that show light signs of honest use. The 18k yellow gold fluted bezel has achieved a sought-after rose coloration from age that accents the rest of the watch beautifully. The Rolex 62510H two-tone Jubilee bracelet with 455 end pieces has aged to match the bezel perfectly, showing a strong rose patina throughout the center gold links that give the watch a very unique and tasteful aesthetic. The bracelet retains 18 links that display very minimal stretch from use.

DIAL & HANDS

The champagne sunburst dial is in exceptional condition, displaying no age or blemishes. The tritium lume has taken on a creamy yellow coloration and exhibits no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The date wheel is era-correct with open 6's and 9's.
