1980s Rodania For Alfa Romeo Chronograph (Ref. 3174.20) W/ Box
Rodania is a well-respected Swiss watchmaker that was formally established in 1930 and still exists today. Throughout Rodania's long history they have created watches for several different military's and have collaborated with some highly influencial brands.
During the late 1970 to the early 1980s Rodania created small batches of serveral different models for the Italian auto manufacturer Alfa Romeo, including a chronograph, a dive watch, and a dress watch. All of the Rodania for Alfa Romeo watches feature the iconic Alfa Romeo crest and a unique brown and tan textured dial. This ref. 3174.20 is powered by a Valjoux cal. 7750 automatic chronograph movment and would make a perfect addition to the vintage or modern car enthusiasts watch collection.

The unpolished case retains its original bead balsted finish and exhibits very minimal signs of previous use. The case retains its original pump pushers and Rodania signed crown. The case back retains all of its factory markings in crisp and legible condition. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
The original brown and tan textured Alfa Romeo dial is in flawless factory condition, showing no blemishes or signs of age. The tritium lume plots have aged to a handsome creamy patina and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands have ged slightly lighter than the dial and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection.
The watch comes complete with its original inner wood coffin box and outer box, both signed Alfa Romeo. The watch is keeping time and functioning perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
