1988 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 16200) Silver Dial
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and beloved Rolex watches ever made. This classic dress watch has been produced by the Swiss luxury watchmaker since 1945 and has remained a timeless classic that is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust was designed for everyday wear, and its sleek and elegant design makes it one of the most universally loved watches for both men and women.
This "first production run" Rolex Datejust ref. 16200 is simply classic in design but also uncommon as smooth bezel Datejust models were historically the least produced of the three steel variants. =The Rolex Datejust ref. 16200 is a transitional reference as it features a tritium dial, but features numerous upgrades such as a sapphire crystal and the Rolex Cal. 3135 movement which features a quick-set date function.

The exceptional case displays very full, symmetrical lugs that show minimal signs of previous use or polishing with extremely crisp finishing visibly intact. The smooth stainless steel bezel is also in excellent condition with almost no signs of previous use present. The original Rolex 62510H Jubilee bracelet with 555B end pieces retains 21 links that show light stretch and will fit up to a 7 3/4-inch wrist.
The original silver "small Roman" minute track dial is exceptionally well preserved, showing no damage whatsoever with some light aging around the date window that we personally enjoy as a unique element of patina. The tritium lume plots are a subtle ivory color tone and exhibit no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly and show no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The date wheel is original with "open" 6's and 9's which is correct for the "first series" models
None. The is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
