1991 Omega Speedmaster Professional (Ref. 3590.50) "Mustache Dial" W/ Hangtag
The Omega Speedmaster Professional is by far one of our favorite chronographs. The Speedmaster has an incredible history, starting with automotive racing, moving into flight, and eventually to NASA and the U.S. Space Program. There are many subtle differences within the vintage Omega Speedmaster range of references that make them all slightly unique and different.
The ref. 3590.50 replaced the long-running 145.022 reference in 1988, though the new reference continued to stamp the inside of the case back "145.022" and continued to employ the workhorse Cal. 861 movement. Most notably, the early models of this updated reference feature a dial that has been whimsically nicknamed the "Mustache dial", as the 'S' and the 'R' of the Speedmaster text hang drastically lower than the rest of the text, resembling a handlebar mustache.
The Speedmaster looks great on the bracelet, as well as a handcrafted leather strap. It is one of our favorite chronographs due to its timeless design and functionality. Its versatility to be paired with the most formal and casual of wardrobes also makes the Speedmaster a good choice for the first vintage timepiece and a classic daily driver.

CASE & BRACELET
The asymmetrical case is in excellent overall condition, displaying some light wear from use with minimal evidence of prior polishing present. The black aluminum tachymetre bezel remains in excellent condition, showing only nominal signs of use. The case retains its original pump pushers and Omega-signed crown. The case back is in very crisp condition, with the medallion fully intact. The original Omega 1479 stainless steel bracelet with 813 end pieces retains 23 links that show minor stretch and will fit up to a 7.75-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original matte black "Mustache" dial is flawless, showing no age or damage. The tritium lume plots have achieved a vivid golden patina and exhibit no degradation under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial almost perfectly and show no degradation under UV light inspection.
ACCESSORIES
The watch comes with its original, non-serialized hangtag. The watch is keeping time perfectly, though the service history is unknown. A movement service can be purchased upon request.
