***RARE*** 1979 Tudor Chronograph Big Block (Ref. 94300) Silver "Solo Dial"
The early Tudor Chronograph references do share a lot of common traits with the big brother Rolex Daytona references including the same steel bezel with engraved tachymeter scale, Rolex Oyster bracelet, and 589 end-links, as well as the Rolex Trip-Lock crown and screw down pushers. The dial on this specific Tudor reference 79180 is also very similar to the Rolex Daytona's of this era as it possesses the trapezoidal applied markers and a remarkable silver surface that is reminiscent of the Rolex Daytona 6265 of the same era which also possesses black stepped subdials with the white Chrono hands located within the subdials. "Solo Dial" is in reference to the dial text, or lack thereof. Underneath "Tudor", where you would normally find the text "OYSTERDATE" there is simply nothing. This from factory dial characteristic, recognized as the first dial execution of the 94300 is extremely rare . Uncommonly seen, but known, Rolex "Solo Dial" chronographs are often only seen and sold through high-end auctions. Being that there are only a few known Tudor 94300 Big Block "solo dials" that exist, makes this specific piece a highly coveted example within the collector community.

CASE & BRACELET
The previously polished case retains full, even lugs, showing light wear from use. The Stainless steel UPH bezel remains in wonderful vintage condition showing light wear and retaining all of its enamel. The case retains its original screw down pushers and Rolex signed trip lock crown. The Rolex 78360 Oyster bracelet with 589 end pieces remains in unpolished condition showing light wear from use and little to no stretch.
DIAL & HANDS
The stunning original silver "Solo Dial" with contrasting black subdials, is in flawless vintage condition. The lume plots have taken on an excellent creamy patina, under U.V. light inspection the lume plot show as fully intact with no signs of degradation. The hour and minute hands are luminova Tudor service replacements in perfect condition.
