IWC
IWC Steel Calatrava Automatic Cal. 852
IWC’s Caliber 852 originally came into production post-war, in 1952. Featuring the Pellaton winding system which was a new and extremely efficient movement system for perpetual automatic wristwatch movements. This innovative movement was patented by IWC in 1950 and we saw the first mass production of these watches in 1952. The Pellaton winding system is still used in IWC watches today and has been improved upon ever since.
This particular IWC Calatrava in stainless steel is simply stunning with a nonsense design. The dressy Calatrava case and dial design pairs excellently with the utilitarian stainless steel material. This watch makes for a highly reliable daily wearer, that is designed to last.
