*Unpolished* 1969 Rolex Two-Tone Oyster-Perpetual (Ref. 1005) Taupe "Ghost" Dial
The "Ghost" dial phenomenon is one of the most unique and celebrated dial variants that exists within the Rolex dress models. Depending on the lighting conditions, the tonal printing of the text can disappear into the dial completely or be vividly contrasted against the dial, hence the "ghost" nickname. These dials can be seen in several dial configurations though the most common are grey and taupe dials from the plastic crystal era of Rolex 34 and 36mm dress models.

CASE & BRACELET
The unpolished case retains its factory finishing and dimensions with minimal signs of use. The 14K yellow gold fluted bezel is in excellent unpolished condition, showing minimal signs of use. The unpolished case back retains its original factory finishing as well. The original Rolex "U.S.A Made" two-tone Jubilee bracelet with 49 end pieces retains 21 links that show moderate stretch from use and will fit up to a 7 1/2 inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original taupe sunburst "ghost" dial is in exceptional condition with no age or damage present. The tritium lume plots have taken on a gorgeous golden patina and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation present under U.V. light inspection.
