Eberhard
1950s Eberhard Extra-Fort Chronograph (Ref. 14801) 18K YG
The Eberhard & Co. brand is firmly rooted in Swiss watchmaking history and was once the largest Swiss watch manufacturer in the early 1900s. The founder George-Emile Eberhard founded the company at the young age of 22 years old in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Though Eberhard & Co. greatly influenced the rise of the Swiss watchmaking history, the brand is most well-known for its post-war wristwatches, such as the elegant Extra-Fort chronograph and the Scafograph diving sports watch.

CASE & BRACELET
The 18k yellow gold case on this Eberhard Extra-Fort retains every factory angle and line in sharp, unaltered, and unpolished condition. The original case geometry remaining intact is seldom seen on early Extra-Fort watches, especially in yellow gold, due to most examples being polished at some point in the past. The Eberhard signed crown and square or flat pushers are original to the watch and exhibit a sharpness rarely seen. The case back retains deep and crisp factory engravings.
DIAL & HANDS
The multicolored white dial features a blue tachymeter scale and proud red 50-marker that give the watch personality without compromising its sophistication. The condition of the dial is exceptional and original, showing a charming yet light patina from age. The sharp and elegant dauphine hands also remain in original condition showing light and even patina much like the dial.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch is in perfect working condition, previous service history is unknown.
