1954 Omega Seamaster RG (Ref. 2975-2) Cal. 500
The Speedmaster might be the watch that made Omega a household name (and took it to the moon), but the Seamaster has been around quite a bit longer and has its own incredible legacy worth talking about.
First released in 1948 in celebration of Omega’s centennial anniversary, the Seamaster became a worldwide success and was the brand’s top seller for a long time. Today, it’s the longest-running name in the Omega catalog and still holds a special place in plenty of collectors’ hearts.
This ref. 2975-2 is a fantastic example of how well-rounded the Seamaster is, helping to make it the perfect all-day, everyday timepiece. It’s powered by the respected cal. 500 movement, which is fitted into an elegant design that is subtle, timeless, and well-balanced. With its 35mm rose gold-capped case and long, broad lugs, the piece is both relevant and a suitable option in any environment, especially thanks to its classic dial layout that is both stylish and recognizable.
|Material||Rose Gold Cap|
|Bracelet||2pc Handmade Leather Strap|
The rose gold-capped case features broad lugs that have been gently polished in the past and are in excellent and thick condition with slight chamfers and show honest signs of use. It retains its original rose gold Omega-signed crown. The case back features the iconic Seamaster medallion and is otherwise clean. The watch will be supplied on a handmade 2pc leather strap.
The silver applied logo dial is in gorgeous original condition, showing only light and tasteful signs of age with no damage present, and featuring rose gold applied hour markers. The lume-filled markers display no notable degradation but the lume has taken on a dark gey patina. The original rose gold hands are in remarkable condition and have been professionally restored with radium to coordinate with the dial lume.
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
