1954 Rolex Precision 18K YG (Ref. R9004) W/ Box
In a time when Rolex was making significant strides in their more utilitarian and tool-based wristwatches, they also created some lesser-known dress timepieces that fly a little more under the radar. The Precision line of dress pieces offers a simple and elegant wrist presence in handsome case designs that remain timeless to this day.
This Rolex Precision ref. R9004 features a large-or-its-era 36mm case with a simple, yet refined design that perfectly encapsulates the dress watch style of its era with modern sizing standards. The ref. R9004 employs the Rolex cal. 1210 manual wind movement, which helps to keep the watch slim in classic dress watch fashion. Rounding out the watch is an elegant and symmetrical dial that features a charming vintage aesthetic.

The impressive 18K yellow gold case exhibits minimal signs of polishing and boasts extremely thick, broad lugs that show excellent dimension and very light signs of use. The unsigned crown appears to be original to the watch. The case back retains its factory engravings which are commonly missing due to polishing, though there is light fading on the case back from general wear. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
The cream dial is in wonderful original condition with a striking vintage aesthetic and exhibits minimal elements of expected age. The original yellow gold dauphine hands are in excellent condition.
The watch comes with its original inner and outer Rolex coffin-style boxes. The watch is keeping time, but the service history is unknown. A movement service can be provided upon request.
