1957 Rolex Oyster-Perpetual 18K YG (Ref. 6567) Champagne "OCC" Concentric Dial
While Rolex began using self-winding movements in the early 1930s, it wasn't until 1950 that it was given a proper name with the introduction of the Oyster-Perpetual. Many models in the Rolex catalog would go on to wear the names Oyster and/or Perpetual on their dials, including this gorgeous no-date model from 1958.
The tenured model has been a mainstay within the Rolex catalog since its introduction and remains one of the most sought-after offerings. Vintage variants perfectly blend simplicity with sophistication and often feature unique details not seen in other models. Whether you're a seasoned collector or looking for your first entry point into vintage watches, the Rolex Oyster-Perpetual is always a worthy addition to any collection.
The ref. 6567 features an 18k gold 34mm case with a fluted bezel, encapsulating the elegant aesthetic of early Oyster models. The watch also features a beautifully patinated concentrically brushed, "Officially Certified Chronometer" (OCC) dial, which is the precursor to the "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" (SCOC) dials we see today, making this a beautiful time capsule for the wrist.

CASE & BRACELET
The impressive, charmingly oxidized 18K yellow gold case boasts thick and sharp lugs that exhibit no notable evidence of prior polishing and gentle signs of use. The 18K yellow gold fluted bezel is in very crisp condition and matches the patina of the case with nominal wear present. The case back is in clean overall condition, retaining its factory finish with light wear present. The watch comes supplied on a two-piece woven leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original "OCC" dial predates the more commonly seen "SCOC" dials of the 1960s and is in impressively well-preserved condition for its age. The concentrically bushed champagne dial has achieved a lovely speckled patina throughout that only enhances the vintage appearance and warmth of the watch. The radium lume plots exhibit no degradation under UV light inspection and have taken on a handsome beige coloration. The original yellow gold dauphine hands also show no degradation in the lume and match the dial patina perfectly.
