1960s Patek Philippe Calatrava 18K YG (Ref. 2592-1) "Hausmann & Co." Dial
There is the saying that “You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation.” and we think this couldn't be truer. The fine craftsmanship that Patek Philippe wristwatches are built around has created a generational foundation for these watches to be passed down and to remain functional, relevant, and timeless for years to come.
Hausmann & Co. is a very well-established jewelry and watches retailer with roots in Rome that date back to 1794, and has been collaborating with Patek Philippe for over 100 years. This ref. 2592-1 is not only in beautiful condition but the dial is cosigned "Hausmann & Co." celebrating the two companies' partnership, which is now a rare and sought-after dial variant for Patek Philippe. This timepiece would pair great with a tuxedo or suit as it would fit perfectly under the coat sleeve and is simple yet ultimately refined.
|Dial||Champagne "Hausmann & Co."|
|Bracelet||2pc Black Strap|
The classic 18k yellow gold Calatrava case is in superb condition and has only been very lightly polished in the past as all the hallmarks remain intact. The yellow gold crown is believed to be original to the watch and features the Patek Philippe signet logo. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc leather strap.
The original champagne dial is simple and sophisticated in classic Patek Philippe form, the dial itself shows only a few light marks that are only visible under loupe magnification. The dial is cosigned "Hausmann & Co." above the 6 o'clock marker. The original yellow gold hands are in near perfect condition.
