Breitling
1966 Breitling Top Time Chronograph Gold Plate (Ref. 810-24) Black Dial
We all know Breitling for their impressive and collectible chronographs, from the early ref. 806 Navitimers to their more colorful designs of the 70s. The Top-Time was introduced in 1964 by Breitling as the watch for the "next generation", catering to a younger and more rebellious demographic of the 1960s, and at a lower price point than their more specialized timepieces, such as the Navitimer.
The Breitling Top-Time ref. 810-24 was essentially a simbling reference to the 810 Mk II model, sharing many similarities in design. Both of which are beautifully designed, oversized chronographs powered by the Venus cal. 178, and boast robust 38mm cases with similar dial details. Though the main difference between the two models was the lug design of the case, with the 810-24 featuring long curved lugs with chamfers, whereas the 810 featured a simpler straight lug design.

CASE & BRACELET
The large gold-plated case featuring curved lugs remains in incredibly crisp condition with very sharp chamfers present. The case does exhibit some general wear throughout, though the most notable wear is mostly not visible, as it is located on the undersides of the lugs. The case retains its original pump pushers and Breitling signed crown. The case back retains all of its factory markings in fully present condition. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc leather strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The semi-matte black dial features crisp silver sub-dials and exhibits some minor spots and blemishes from age, though they are invisible to the naked eye. The sub-dials remain bright, with minimal age present. The tritium lume plots have aged to a dark, almost black patina and show some degradation throughout under UV light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly with no degradation present when inspected under UV light.
