1967 Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Ref. 1024) Gold Cap "Tropical Dial"
This 1967 Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Ref. 1550) Gold cap is eye catching. The dial which has gained a stunning "Tropical" patina paired with the original Rolex gold cap case is striking. Rolex starting in the 50's created a process to cap the case with gold. Unlike other watches of this era, Rolex created a process that involves paring a stainless steel case with a gold cap or sometimes known as a gold shell. This creates a more affordable way to enjoy a gold case Rolex without sacrificing quality of movement and precision that is Rolex all together. This piece paired with the brown crocodile strap that provides a classic and first class look which we absolutely admire and love!

DIAL
This dial has aged and taken on a wonderful "Tropical" patina that kinda reminds us of a starburst. The tritium lume plots are all intact and show no lume degrade. The hands are also original and also have a wonderful patina that matches the over all feel and patina of the dial. This is a truly stunning and special piece!
