*Unpolished* 1968 Omega Seamaster Chronograph 18K YG (Ref. 145.006-68) "Cal. 321" Meister Co-Signed Dial
The best-known chronographs from Omega are of course from the Speedmaster Professional family, however, the most uniquely designed and fun chronographs come from the Seamaster family and often share the same celebrated movements as its mechanical siblings.
This Seamaster reference 145.006-68 employs the Omega Cal. 321 chronograph movement, the very same movement Omega used in the "Moonwatch" Omega Speedmaster Professional. The Cal. 321 is one of Omega's most robust movements due to its superior performance and durability and it was in production for roughly only 11 years, though the production of this specific movement was cost-prohibitive, and it was later replaced with the Cal. 861 movement. Given the transitional production year of this model specifically, it is likely one of the very last references to utilize the Cal. 321 before Omega switched over to the Cal. 861.
As elucidated by the co-signature on the dial of this watch, it was originally retailed by Meister, a highly-esteemed and well-known luxury Jewelry store and family from Zurich, Switzerland. Meister was formed in 1881 and is still operated under the same family today.
