The Rolex Day-Date earned the nickname "President" after it had been rumored that President Dwight Eisenhower began wearing one, however, Eisenhower wore a Rolex 18K yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Datejust which Rolex gifted to him in 1953. However the nickname President is quite fitting for the day date as Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Reagan, Nixon, and Roosevelt, all wore the Rolex Day-Date and is a symbol of status and luxury as the Rolex Day-Date is only made in precious metals most commonly 18k yellow gold and possesses both the day and date complications within the movement.

CASE & BRACELET
The thick 18K yellow gold case is in excellent condition, displaying full and symmetrical lugs that have been minimally polished in the past. The 18k yellow gold flute bezel is in wonderful condition, showing minimal signs of use. The original 18k yellow gold Rolex 7286 President bracelet retains 19 links and displays some stretch, common for the style and age of the bracelet.
DIAL & HANDS
The sought-after non-luminous champagne "pie-pan" dial has developed a unique and satisfying "frozen" patina to the surface lacquer that is consistent throughout the dial. The non-luminous hands are in exceptional condition as well. The metallic gold date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's.
ACCESSORIES
The watch comes complete with its original inner and outer boxes, Rolex serialized guarantee paper, Rolex pamphlets, Rolex cloth, hang tags, and original Rolex leather journal. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on the timekeeping.
