1969 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 5513) "Non-Serif" Dial
The Rolex Submariner reference 5513 is the embodiment of the classic dive watch. The 5513 is simple yet sophisticated and rugged. The ref. 5513 was first introduced in 1962 and ceased production in late 1989. The ref. 5513 is a purpose-built dive watch that lacks the date function like other Rolex Submariner models.
This 1969 Rolex Submariner ref. 5513 checks all the vintage must-haves for a reference 5513, we especially love the eggshell patina of the lume and the grey faded "fat-font" bezel insert. The overall aesthetic of this watch is everything we love about vintage submariners. This Rolex Submariner reference 5513 would make a great daily driver as it's appropriate for any style and setting.

CASE & BRACELET
The exceptional and well-worn case retains full and defined chamfers along with extremely thick and symmetrical lugs. The original Mk III "fat font" bezel insert features a beautiful "ghost" fade with no major signs of use present and retains its tritium pearl at the 12 o'clock position. The Rolex trip-lock crown is a service unit. The watch comes supplied on a brown nylon NATO strap.
DIAL & HANDS
The original matte black dial is in perfect vintage condition, showing no major signs of age and no damage. Some very minor clipping to the white minute track is present, though it is invisible to the naked eye and very common in this era. The tritium lume plots have aged to a charming eggshell patina and feature no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly, though the lume is slightly darker near the post which enhances the overall aesthetic of the watch in our opinion, under U.V. light inspection the hands display no degradation.
