This Longines Ultra-Chron wristwatch, ref. 7970-4, was made in Switzerland around 1976.  The watch is fitted with an automatic movement caliber 431 with 17 jewels and displays hour, minute, second and date.  The case and bakelite bezel make this piece unique and attractive while on the wrist. CASE & BRACELET

The case of this Longines Ultrachron 7970-4 is in wonderful condition retaining its original factory finishing and unique case geometry. The case shows minimal patina and the crown is original and signed Longines. The original bakelite bezel is in a stunning condition like the rest of the watch. there is some small surface scratches in the bezel insert but shows no cracks or degradation. The watch will be supplied on a premium NATO strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The gloss black dial remains in flawless and original condition. The tritium lume plots and lume within the hands have achieved a wonderful golden patina and remain fully intact showing no lume degradation when viewed under U.V. Light. The orange minute hand provides a striking contrast against the dial and remains in flawless condition.
