1970s Omega Seamaster Cosmic Gold-Plated (Ref. 166.022) "Crosshair" Dial
Omega has had its share of home runs over the decades to be sure, but every so often a model will unexplainably slip through the cracks and off the radars of collectors. Our eyes become so glued to the big names that we miss some incredibly unique things. And the Seamaster is a big name, absolutely, but the "Cosmic" sub-model has been extravagantly overlooked. The Cosmic comes in a variety of case shapes and fantastic dial combinations, a diverse family that deserves its time in the sun.

CASE & BRACELET
The gold-plated case remains in honest condition, showing light wear and loss of plating in the high-touch areas, but remains in wonderful condition overall. The case retains its original Omega-signed crown. The case back displays light wear with all the factory markings fully intact. The watch comes supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap
DIAL & HANDS
The original silver "crosshair" dial is in honest vintage condition, showing some minor marks and age. The tritium lume plots have taken on a dark patina and show light degradation throughout. The original hands retain the original black lacquer inlay along with the original tritium lume that shows no degradation, and matches the dial patina perfectly.
ACCESSORIES
None. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
