1973 OMEGA Speedmaster Professional (Ref. 145.022) W/ Box & Booklet
(Alan Bean With An Omega Speedmaster Professional On Lunar Surface Of The Moon)
The Omega Speedmaster Professional is by far one of our most favorite chronographs. The Speedmaster has an incredible history starting with automotive racing moving into flight and eventually to NASA and the U.S. Space Program. There are many subtle differences within the vintage Omega Speedmaster range of references that make them all slightly unique and different.

The step dial or "Pie Pan" Omega Speedmaster's possess a charm and feel that the new modern equivalents don't seem to quite have. The Ref 145.022 with the workhorse Cal. 861 movement is clearly built to last. The Speedmaster looks great on the bracelet as well as a handcrafted leather strap. It is one of our favorite chronographs due to its timeless design and functionality. Its versatility to be paired with the most formal and the most casual of wardrobe also makes the Speedmaster a good choice for the first vintage timepiece and or a classic daily driver.

The strong asymmetrical case is in excellent condition and appears to have been minimally polished in that past, retaining full lugs that show light signs of use. The tachymetre bezel is original and in exceptional condition showing no fade and almost no signs of use. The case retains its original Omega signed crown and pump pushers. The case back retains all or its original factory markings in deep and crisp condition, though most of the black enamel is missing which is common. The watch comes supplied on a fully brushed Forstner Flat Link Bracelet for Speedmasters.
The matte black "pie pan" dial is in exceptional condition, showing no signs of age or damage. The tritium lume plots show a subtle creamy patina and display no degradation under U.V light inspection. The original tritium hands have aged slightly darker than the dial, under U.V. light inspection the minute hand shows some light lume loss and remains stable, the chronograph and hour hand remain fully intact.
The watch comes with its original box and Guarantee booklet, the booklet is not filled out. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time and functioning perfectly, backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
