The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. CASE & BRACELET
The exceptional case retains sharp edges and strong finishing on top of the lugs, it shows evidence of being very lightly polished in the past and retains symmetrical and thick lugs that minimal signs of use. The 14k yellow gold fluted bezel is in excellent condition and has seen light polishing in the past. The original stainless steel and 14k yellow gold Rolex two-tone 7836 folded-link Oyster bracelet with correct 258 end pieces retains 13 links that show subtle stretch from use.
DIAL & HANDS
The champagne sunburst "pie-pan" with "ghost text" has aged to a convincing taupe coloration and is in exceptional condition, showing almost no signs of age. The tritium lume plots have achieved a beautiful yellow coloration and exhibit no degradation under U.V. light inspection, remaining full and round. The original gold tritium hands are remarkably well preserved and match the dial patina perfectly, showing no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The metallic gold date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.
ACCESSORIES
The watch comes complete with its original inner and outer boxes, Rolex passport sleeve, original guarantee paper with caseback sticker attached, Rolex service card from 2007 and service booklet, translation pamphlet, and Oyster booklet. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time perfectly, back by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
