The step dial or "Pie Pan" Omega Speedmaster's has a charm and feel that that the new modern equivalents don't seem to quite have. The Ref 145.022 with the workhorse Cal. 861 movement is built to last. The Speedmaster looks great on the bracelet as well as a handcrafted leather strap. It is one of our favorite chronographs due to its timeless design and functionality. Its versatility to be paired with the most formal and the most casual of wardrobe also makes the Speedmaster a good choice for the first vintage timepiece and or a classic daily driver. This specific 1974 Omega Speedmaster is a truly exceptional example that has been loved and well taken care of ready for many years to come! The bezel insert has a marvelous graying/fading that is highly desirable for Speedmasters of this era. The case back shows the embossed Hippocampus "Seahorse" and engraved NASA flight 

Excellent matte "Pie Pan" dial and the sloped subdials make this really stand out when on the wrist. The tritium lume and hands have achieved a striking matching golden patina that really stand out against the matte black dial.

The excellent thick case that has very minimal wear from use. This case has never been polished and retains the crisp sharp lines. The bezel insert has a marvelous graying/fading that is highly desirable for Speedmasters of this era. The case back shows the embossed Hippocampus "Seahorse" and engraved NASA flight qualifications.
