1976 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 1603) No-Lume Silver "Linen Dial” W/ Guarantee Paper
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt.
This specific ref. 1603 from 1976 would make a great start for a new vintage collector or be a great addition to an expanding collection. We love the early Rolex Datejust for its simplicity and its classic sophistication. Perfectly worn in any setting from formal to casual. The silver "Linen" dial is uncommon and very much desirable among the vintage Rolex collector community as it is striking and gets its nickname from the texture of the dial pattern which is reminiscent of linen cloth.

The previously lightly polished case retains thick and even lugs that show minimal signs of use. The stainless steel engine turned bezel is unpolished with very little signs of use. The case back is signed 1600 which is common for Datejust from this era. The watch will come supplied on a 2pc handmade leather strap.
The non-luminous silver linen pie-pan dial is in superb vintage condition, showing only light signs of aging of the upper outer rim, and is otherwise flawless. The linen texture adds a unique depth to the dial, giving the watch a stylish and versatile appearance. The solid steel hands remain in excellent condition. The metallic date wheel is era correct with open 6's and 9's.
The watch comes with its original Rolex guarantee papers. The watch was recently serviced and is keeping time at COSC spec, backed by our 1-year warranty of accurate timekeeping.
