1977 Rolex Day-Date (Ref. 1803) 18K YG "Lemon Minute Track Dial"
"The Rolex Day-Date is one of the most iconic and beautiful watches in the Rolex catalog. The Rolex Day-Date earned the nickname "President" after it had been rumored that President Dwight Eisenhower began wearing one, however, Eisenhower wore a Rolex 18K yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Datejust which Rolex gifted to him in 1953. However the nickname President is quite fitting for the day date as Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Ford, Reagan, Nixon and Roosevelt, all wore the Rolex Day-Date and is a symbol of status and luxury as the Rolex Day-Date is only made in precious metals most commonly 18k yellow gold and possesses both the day and date complications within the movement.
This 1977 Rolex Day-Date ref. 1803 retains its original and sought-after satin lemon minute track "pie-pan" dial. This Day-Date ref. 1803 is simply stunning and would be a wonderful addition to any collection as an executive piece that would stand out from the crowd.

CASE & BRACELET
The crisp case retains very thick and symmetrical lugs that display excellent brushing down the lugs and sharp angles with only gentle signs of previous use. The 18K yellow gold fluted bezel has been lightly polished in the past and exhibits almost no signs of use. The case back shows evidence of being previously polished. The Rolex 18K yellow gold President bracelet retains 21 links that show some tretch from use and will fit a 7 inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The rare and beautiful "Lemon" pie-pan dial with minute track is in excellent vintage condition, the dial display no notable discoloration from age thought there is a very small mark under the bottom right of the hand stack. Under U.V. light inspection the lume on the dial is for the most part no longer present. The original tritum yellow gold hands have aged to a lovely golden color, under U.V. light inspection the hour hand exhibits minor lume loss and remains stable and the minute hand remains fully intact. The metallic gold date wheel is original with open 6's and 9's, the day wheel is Spanish.

None. The watch just received a full service and comes backed by a 1-year warranty on accurate timekeeping.
