1969 OMEGA Seamaster Soccer Timer Ref. 145.020 "Tropical"
The Omega Soccer Timer is one of the coolest purpose built chronographs that came from Omega. Produced from the 1960s to the 1980s, each soccer timer reference was either outfitted with a gray or white dial and all featured the stunning black and red chronograph subdials. What distinguishes the soccer timer from other cal. 861 powered Omega chronograph's of the era is the chronograph minute subdial was marked with a 45-minute indicator below the “30.” This feature was included to make it easier to time halves of a soccer match. Otherwise, the various Soccer Timers weren’t much different from the other caliber 861-powered Omega chronographs available at the time of production.
This is a unique Omega Chronograph is sure to stand out when worn on the wrist, and with the tropical dial, it would be a striking addition to a growing collection. We love the unique vibe of the soccer timer that immediately calls to mind the era from which it came.

DIAL & HANDS
The wonderful black dial has taken on a visible and highly sought after brown color change known as a "tropical" patina. The original tritium lume plots remain fully intact and have been inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium orange Soccer Timer hands create an excellent contrast against the brown dial.
