*Unpolished* 1984 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 5513) "Spider Dial"
The Rolex Submariner Reference 5513 is the embodiment of the classic dive watch. The 5513 is simple yet sophisticated and rugged. The Ref. 5513 was first introduced in 1962 and ceased production in late 1989. The Ref. 5513 is a purpose-built dive watch that lacks the date function like other Rolex Submariner models.
This specific 1984 Rolex Submariner Ref. 5513 is in absolutely stunning condition and would make a versatile daily driver. CASE & BRACELET
The excellent case is believed to remain unpolished showing crisp factory finishing and chamfers down the lugs with light signs of use. The bezel is also in excellent sharp condition. The original bezel insert is in wonderful condition, remaining deep black in coloration and retains its tritium pearl at the 12 o'clock which matches the dial patina nicely. The original Rolex 93150 Oyster bracelet with 580 ends is in excellent unpolished condition as well, retaining 11 links and showing no stretch from use.
DIAL & HANDS
The beautiful glossy black "Spider" dial with white gold surround markers is in fantastic condition. The "Spider" patina adds depth that is both subtle and eye-catching. The tritium lume plots have aged to a charming golden patina, and show no lume degradation under U.V. light inspection. The original tritium hands match the dial perfectly, under U.V. light inspection the hour hands exhibit minor cracking, the minute and sweep-seconds hands show no degradation.
