1990 Rolex Ladies Two-Tone Datejust (Ref. 69173) Silver "Tiffany & Co." Diamond Dial
The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and beloved Rolex watches ever made. Launched in 1945, it has remained a timeless classic, instantly recognizable as an item of true quality and functional design. This ladies' Datejust can be worn just as easily with formal evening attire as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt. This piece would make an excellent start for a new vintage collector, or be a great addition to an expanding collection.

“Tiffany & Co.” signed Rolex watches are the elusive and forever desirable variants of our favorite models offered by the horological house. Beginning in the late 1950s, Tiffany & Co. began printing their name on the dials of watches from various Swiss brands that were sold through its retail locations. Though they worked with a variety of brands in this era, the “Tiffany & Co.” co-branded Rolex is by far the most talked about, well-known, and collected amongst the lot, and for good reason. The relationship between Tiffany and Rolex carried on until the 1990s, when Tiffany & Co. entered into an exclusive partnership with Patek Philippe. Interestingly, the Tiffany & Co. logos were printed by hand at the Tiffany Location in New York City, not by Rolex.

CASE & BRACELET
The thick and symmetrical case retains crisp factory finishing with no notable evidence of prior polishing present and only light signs of honest wear. The 18K yellow gold fluted bezel appears to remain unpolished, with sharp lines and minimal wear. The case back retains crisp finishing throughout with the factory engravings fully present. The original Rolex 62523D-18 two-tone Jubilee bracelet with 468B end pieces retains 18 links that show light stretch and will fit up to a 6.25-inch wrist.
DIAL & HANDS
The original silver sunburst "Tiffany & Co." dial with factory diamond markers is simply exceptional, with only subtle age present at the very edge of the dial between the 7 and 9 o'clock markers, though it is invisible to the naked eye, and no actual damage is present. The tritium lume plots all remain intact, with no degradation present under UV light inspeciton, and have achieved a charming cream patina. The original tritium yellow gold hands match the dial nicely and show no degradation when inspected under UV light.
