1995 OMEGA Speedmaster Automatic (Ref. 175.0084) MARK 40
Omega's Speedmaster is without question, one of the most important chronographs to come out of Switzerland. Not only is the Speedmaster esteemed historically, but the watch itself is an icon of design. Since the Omega Speedmaster's inception, we've seen many variations of the Speedmaster come to fruition, all carrying their own unique stylistic appearances and functionalities to cater to the diverse applications needed from the owners wearing them.
With a robust and compact design, the Speedmaster Automatic ref. 175.0084 aka the Mark 40, is an undercover badass in the neo-vintage category of watches. The Omega Mark 40 is a triple calendar, with a 24hr indicator, and of course, a chronograph function with 30 minute and 12hr totalizers. Powered by the Omega cal. 1151 movement, this is all accomplished in a satisfying dial format that is well balanced and clearly legible.

DIAL & HANDS
The matte black dial is flawless, showing no imperfections or signs of aging. The tritium lume plots have aged to a vivid golden patina and show no degradation when inspected under U.V. light. The original tritium hands have aged darker than the dial which is common for this era, under U.V. light inspection the hour and minute hand remain fully intact, the chronograph sweep-seconds hand shows some light degradation.
