2000 IWC Flieger Chronograph (Ref. 3706) W/ Guarantee Card

$ 4,750

IWC has a long history of creating purpose built timepieces, but more specifically, pilot’s watches. It’s arguably what IWC is best known for. This ref. 3706 IWC “Fliegerchronograph”, or Pilot’s Chronograph, was first introduced by IWC in 1994 and some say this is the reference from IWC that reignited the pilot’s watch craze in the mid-1990s. The 39mm case houses the robust and accurate Valjoux 7750 movement. It features a day and date complication, traditional Flieger hands reminiscent of those on the Mk XI, domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and anti-magnetic properties. The earlier models also have tritium hands and markers which adds to the vintage feel. Even with the modest 39mm size and 3 register dial, it is still very legible.

The beautiful and utilitarian case is in excellent condition and appears to have been very gently polished once in the past. The "fish" logo screw-down crown and reverse style pushers remain original to the watch. The case back retains all of the factory markings in crisp and deep condition. The original IWC stainless steel bracelet is a pure work of art and shows no stretch or wear and will fit up to a 7-inch wrist. The bracelet comes with 3 additional links as well.

The matte black is flawless, with no age or damage present. The lume on the dial has achieved a creamy patina and shows no degradation when inspected under UV light. The original tritium hands have aged a shade lighter than the dial to a warm eggshell patina and exhibit no degradation under UV light inspection.

The watch comes with its original inner and outer boxes, booklets, warranty card, and 2 extra bracelet links. The watch is functioning and keeping time perfectly, previous service history is unknown.
