(Ed White With An Omega Speedmaster 105.003 During First American Space Walk During The Gemini 4 Space Mission)

The Omega Speedmaster is by far one of our most favorite chronographs. The Speedmaster has an incredible history starting with automotive racing moving into flight and eventually to NASA and the U.S. Space Program. There are many subtle differences within the Omega Speedmaster range of references that make them all slightly unique and different.

The Speedmaster Professional ref. 35658000 "Gemini IV" was originally released in 2005 in a limited production of 1005 units made. This uniquely styled Speedmaster was created to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the first American spacewalk. On June 3, 1965, NASA astronaut Ed White during EVA for the Gemini IV mission became the first American to walk in space while wearing an Omega Speedmaster ref 105.003.

Other than being a limited release the Omega Gemini IV ref. 35658000 is a stunning Speedmaster Professional in its own right. Featuring a beautiful blue sunburst dial with silver subdials, polished hands, and a coordinating blue tachymetre bezel. The case back features a unique plaque commemorating the spacewalk and the NASA astronauts who participated.
