2010 Rolex Submariner (Ref. 14060M) 4-Line Dial W/ Rolex Guarantee Card

The ref. 14060 Rolex Submariner was introduced in 1990 as the new and improved version of its long-running predecessor, the legendary 5513. The 14060 featured a number of improvements from the 5513, including an increased depth rating to 300m or 1000 ft, a sapphire crystal, a 904L stainless steel case, and the upgraded cal. 3000 Rolex movement. The 14060 remained in production until 1999 when it was replaced by the 14060M reference, the "M" standing for modified as the 14060M was now outfitted with the Rolex cal. 3130 movement. 

There is essentially two versions of the Rolex 14060M, known best to collectors as the 2-line dial and the 4-line dial. The main differences between the two, is well, the number of lines of text on the dial. The 2-line dial 14060M came first and was in production from 2000-2008. The 4-line dial came into existence when Rolex made the descision to submit the cal. 3130 movement to COSC to be chronometer certified, hence the "superlative chronometer officially certified" text that exists beneath the depth rating that gives the dial it's two extra lines of text. Along with the chronometer certification and the extra lines of text, Rolex began engraving the inner rehaut with both the Rolex name and the watchs serial number, a traditional that now comes standard on any new Rolex watch.

To the collector market and the watch enthusiasts the 4-line Rolex Submariner 14060M is the reincarnation of the Rolex ref. 5512, the first non-date Submariner model to be chronometer certified as well as feature 4-lines of text at the 6 o'clock.
